Where is The Stately on Main located?

We’re in the heart of Waterville, New York. A short drive from Utica, Clinton, Hamilton, and Syracuse. Our address is 127 East Main Street, in the Historic Triangle District.

How many guests can The Stately on Main accommodate?

Up to 250 guests.

Is The Stately on Main climate controlled?

Yes! The Stately on Main is fully heated and air-conditioned for comfort year-round.

Wedding

What’s included in each wedding package?

Each of our three packages—Simply Stately, Stately Signature, and Stately Soirée—includes exclusive use of the venue and use of our two private wedding suites. The higher tiers add extras like overnight lodging and extended access. See details here.

Do you allow outside vendors?

Yes! Couples may bring in their preferred caterers, florists, and photographers. We also have a curated list of trusted local partners happy to work on-site.

Can we have our ceremony and reception here?

Absolutely. Most couples choose to do both on-site—the sanctuary’s stained glass makes for a stunning ceremony backdrop, and the reception transitions seamlessly after a quick changeover during cocktail hour. You can also opt to have your ceremony outside.

Do you offer décor or rentals?

We provide tables and chairs for all weddings. The Stately Signature and Soirée packages allow couples to choose from our selection of other décor (linens, photo backdrops, centerpieces).

Lodging & Amenities

Are there overnight accommodations on-site?

Yes—our Stately Soirée package includes overnight lodging for up to three couples in newly renovated suites. Additional nearby Airbnbs are within walking distance and there are plenty of hotels within 10-20 minutes.

Is parking available?

There are two on-site parking spots at The Stately on Main. Guests are welcome to use nearby street or municipal parking, and many couples choose to arrange a shuttle service from their partner hotel for added convenience.

Is The Stately on Main ADA accessible?

Yes. There is side door access, an elevator to the sanctuary, and an ADA-compliant restroom on the sanctuary level for the convenience of our guests.

Tours & Bookings

How do I book a tour at The Stately on Main?

You can schedule a private or virtual tour by reaching out to the owner at lauren@thestatelyonmain.com. We host open-house evenings seasonally as well.

What’s required to reserve a date?

A signed contract and a 25% retainer secure your date. Payment plans are available for the balance.

Do you host winter weddings?

We typically pause full weddings in January and February.

Policies & Extras

Can we bring alcohol?

The Stately on Main does not have a NYS liquor license or bar service. All alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender or catering team per NYS regulations.

What’s your weather backup plan?

Outdoor ceremonies have an automatic indoor backup in the main sanctuary—no tent required.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to another available date within 12 months of the original booking with 120-day notice.
